Model assignment
Beyond selecting one organization-wide forecast model, Tether lets you assign a different forecast model to individual SKU-channel pairings directly from the Demand dashboard. Pairings without an assignment inherit the organization default model. This page covers per-row and bulk model assignment, and the stale-override exception worklist that flags manual edits whose underlying model output has since drifted.Availability of these features varies by organization. If you don’t see model chips, row checkboxes, or the stale-overrides worklist, they are not enabled for your organization.
Source model chips
Each row of the Demand dashboard can display a source model chip showing which forecast model produces that row’s values.1
Open table settings
On the Demand dashboard, open the table settings menu in the toolbar.

Enable Show source model
Toggle Show source model. A chip appears at the end of each row.
Assigning a model to a pairing

Click the chip
Click a row’s source model chip to open the model picker popover. The header shows which pairing (or how many pairings) the choice applies to.

Pick a model
Search by model name or algorithm and click a model to assign it. A checkmark marks the pairing’s currently assigned model.

Or reset to the org default
Click Reset to org default to clear the assignment so the pairing inherits the organization default model again.
Bulk assignment
To change the model for many pairings at once, use row selection:1
Select rows
Check the row checkboxes for the pairings you want to change. Selecting a group row contributes all of its descendant pairings.

Open the selection bar
A bar appears above the grid showing “N pairings selected”.

Click Assign model to selection
Choose a model from the picker, or click Reset to org default to clear the selected pairings’ assignments. Applying the choice regenerates the selected cells with the new model’s output.
Assigning a model regenerates forecast values only for the affected pairings — it does not trigger a full forecast generation run. See Forecast Admin for organization-wide generation.
Stale-override exceptions
When you manually override a forecast value, Tether records the model baseline at the time of the edit. If the model’s baseline later drifts past your organization’s threshold — or the pairing’s model is reassigned — the override is flagged as stale so you can decide whether the number still stands.Opening the worklist
When stale overrides exist, a warning badge appears in the Demand dashboard toolbar (for example, “3 stale overrides”). Click it to open the Stale-override exceptions worklist at/demand-forecast/stale-overrides.
Working the list
The worklist has two groups:- Stale — baseline drifted ≥ N% or model reassigned — overrides whose captured baseline has drifted past the org threshold, or whose source model changed. Each row shows the override value, the old baseline, the new baseline, and either the signed drift percentage or a “model reassigned” badge.
- Baseline unknown — overrides from before drift tracking — older overrides with no captured baseline.
Select multiple rows with the checkboxes and use Re-affirm selected or Clear selected to resolve them in bulk.
Scoping the worklist
The worklist can be scoped to a single SKU and/or channel. When a scope is active, a Scope chip shows the SKU and channel; click it to remove the scope and see all flagged overrides.Best practices

Keep the organization default model as the baseline for most pairings, and assign specific models only where a product’s demand pattern clearly favors a different algorithm. Fewer assignments are easier to audit.

Stale overrides mean the model now disagrees with your manual number. Review the worklist on a regular cadence — a drifted baseline is often new information (trend change, data correction) worth re-checking.

If a pairing should follow the organization default, clear its assignment rather than assigning the default model explicitly — inherited pairings automatically follow future changes to the org default.
Troubleshooting
No model chips appear
Possible causes:- Show source model is toggled off in table settings.
- The feature is not enabled for your organization.
- Open table settings and enable Show source model.
- Contact your Tether administrator about feature availability.
The bulk-assign bar doesn’t appear
Possible causes:- No rows are checkbox-selected.
- The feature is not enabled for your organization — row selection is only offered where bulk assignment can be applied.
- Select at least one row with the checkboxes.
- Contact your Tether administrator about feature availability.
An override keeps coming back as stale
Possible causes:- The model baseline continues to drift with each generation run.
- The pairing’s model was reassigned again.
- Re-affirm resets the drift clock against the current baseline — repeated flags mean the baseline keeps moving. Consider clearing the override or revisiting the value.
- Check the pairing’s source model chip to confirm which model now drives it.
