The command palette provides quick access to any feature in Tether. Use it to navigate, search, and execute actions without leaving the keyboard.

The command palette searches across two categories:

How It Works

Type a page name to filter matching navigation items. The palette matches against page titles and related keywords. As you type, the palette also searches across your data to find matching records: Selecting a record navigates directly to its detail page.

Results Layout

The command palette organizes results into groups:
Results update as you type. A loading indicator appears while searching for records.

Best Practices

Memorize frequently used commands:
  • Your most visited pages
  • Common actions
  • Frequent searches
Short inputs work well:
  • First few letters
  • Key words only
  • Common abbreviations
Practice using the palette:
  • Resist using mouse
  • Let it become natural
  • Speed comes with practice

Troubleshooting

Command Not Found

Possible causes:
  • Misspelling
  • Feature not available
  • Permission restrictions
Solutions:
  1. Check spelling
  2. Try alternative phrasing
  3. Verify you have access

Slow Results

Possible causes:
  • Large dataset
  • Network latency
  • Complex search
